The Minister of Youth and Sports, Imam Nahrawi, stated that the implementation of the MotoGP in the Special Economic Zone (KEK) of Mandalika must be supported by suitable road access from Lombok International Airport.

Mandalika is scheduled to become the MotoGP venue starting in 2021 for the next five years. “Because what was conveyed by the Dorna and ITDC in front of the President, there must be additional road access, both from Lombok Airport to the Mandalika Circuit and the runway itself at the airport and other things,” said Imam at the Ministry Office, Jakarta, Friday (22 / 3/2019).

Because, the implementation of MotoGP is not only about sports. “the event will bring also concerns the issue of tourism, preparation of infrastructure, security, safety, and of course the ease of prospective visitors to MotoGP 2021,” said the Minister.
