The opening of many jobs is quite promising with the Mandalika MotoGP event
Jobs opportunities in the MotoGP event project are very promising. From unskilled personnel, skilled workers to professional staff are needed there. Even for track guards, 900 people are needed.
Therefore, the Governor of NTB, H Zulkieflimansyah, will prepare skilled workers to fill existing employment opportunities. Preparation of human resources (HR) is no less important than the preparation of physical infrastructure.
“We will prepare qualified human resources to welcome MotoGP 2021,” the governor said during a coordination meeting with the ranks of the Indonesian Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) at the VIP Lombok International Airport (LIA) room, yesterday (27/3).
The meeting was a follow-up to the governor’s meeting with the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing in Jakarta. The meeting was also to ensure that infrastructure development instructed by President Joko Widodo had been running smoothly. Such as the construction of the bypass road LIA – Mandalika, the extension of the airport runway, and the arrangement of the port.
In the meeting, Zul emphasized that the local workforce was able to fill the available jobs. Therefore NTB children must be well prepared. Start with the provision of adequate education, training and skills.
“We must prepare the skills and abilities of our children. So, a few months before MotoGP we are more than ready,” said the governor who was accompanied by NTB PKK Chair Hj Niken Saptarini Widyawati Zulkieflimansyah, NTB Deputy Governor Hj Sitti Rohmi Djalilah and NTB Regional Secretary H Rosiady Sayuti.
The governor also asked all NTD provincial government heads to be involved for the success of the event. For example, the PUPR Service ensures the construction of a bypass road from the airport to KEK Mandalika runs smoothly, the Environment and Forestry Service (LHK) ensures that the land in the area remains green when MotoGP takes place.
Because MotoGP is an extraordinary magnet. Do not let the OPD passively while waiting for 2021 to come. “We must ensure that ITDC does not work alone,” added the Governor.
Meanwhile, President Director of PT ITDC Abdulbar M. Mansoer explained, the appointment of Mandalika as the 2021 MotoGP venue gave its own value to NTB. Because, with the existence of the event, many things were obtained by the community as a positive impact.
Therefore, he requested the support of all parties to succeed. Because the opportunity doesn’t come twice. In fact, Indonesia must compete with other countries to be able to host. Not only abroad, there are also many other regions in the country who want the MotoGP to be held in their area, such as West Java, Palembang and other regions. “The success of the Mandalika SEZ is inseparable from government support,” he said.
