Mandalika MotoGP: Determination Access Location from LIA to Mandalika Special Economic Zone; West Nusa Tenggara Government Given a Two-week Deadline

The the acceleration of the construction of road access from Lombok International Airport (LIA) to the Mandalika Special Economic Zone continued.

After the meeting of the Governor of NTB, Dr. H. Zulkieflimansyah, SE, M.Sc with the Minister of Public Works and Housing, Basuki Hadimuljono, a few days ago, the acceleration of the construction of road access from Lombok International Airport (LIA) to the Mandalika Special Economic Zone continued.

In fact, the Minister of Public Works and Housing gave a deadline (deadline) to the Regional Government, both the province and Central Lombok for two weeks to determine the location of the construction of the road access.
’’We have been given a deadline by the Minister two weeks after the meeting yesterday, the location determination must be completed,’ said the Head of the NTB Ministry of Public Works and Housing, Ir. Wedha Magma Ardhi, M.TP was confirmed in Mataram, Thursday, March 28 2019 afternoon.

Ardhi said, his party had agreed with the Central Lombok Regency Government to complete the location determination for a week. At the latest next week the determination of the location of the by-pass project development by LIA – Mandalika Special Economic Zone.
After determining the location, it will continue with land appraisal preparation. If land acquisition is fast, then in 2019 construction can be carried out directly by the construction of the pass project LIA – the 17 Km Mandalika Special Economic Zone.

Ardhi added, of the 24 proposed projects in the Public Works and Housing sector proposed in order to support the implementation of the 2021 MotoGP, the construction of the three most responded and most urgent infrastructure was built. Namely, LIA bypass road access – Mandalika Special Economic Zone, construction of retention ponds and flood control channels in the Mandalika Special Economic Zone.

‘’ Our task is to determine the location. Today we have a meeting with the Central Lombok government regarding the suitability of space. Then next week the location is released. If that is the case, we will inform the Director General of Highways, later, ‘he said.

In addition to the LIA by-pass development of the Mandalika Special Economic Zone, Ardhi said the construction of two infrastructures so that Mandalika would be safe was also conducted this year. Namely the construction of retention ponds and flood ducts.

For land acquisition by the LIA bypass project – Mandalika Special Economic Zone, Ardhi mentioned the need for a budget of around Rp.127 billion. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Public Works and Housing prepared a budget of Rp1.2 trillion for construction and land acquisition.
